Welcome! You’ve sailed to the final port in the YA Summer Scavenger Hunt! Scroll down to find the final word and complete the short story. In the meantime, I’ve made a bunch of my books free on Amazon this week. I have over 1000 reviews and these usually cost $2.99 each – grab them while you can!

And now, what you’ve all been waiting for.
Drum roll please…
The final word in the scavenger hunt is:
Finish the story with the final stroke – you can get it in the next post HERE.
In June, the Alliance of Young Adult Authors is sponsoring a massive young adult scavenger hunt. This is a chance to meet some new authors, grab a bunch of free books, and sign up to win a whole bunch of epic prizes!
In addition to the $500 grand prize, each author will be giving away lots of free books and cool stuff (for my part, I’ll probably have a set of dystopian books and possibly a huge vampire hunter’s kit).
When the scavenger hunt begins (June 1st) all you have to do is visit each site below in order and write down the special word to reconstruct the story. You can enter any of the giveaways or offers on anybody’s site, or just grab the special word and move on. I’ll add a link soon where you can enter for the grand prize when you have the full story.
Each author will be given a special keyword, which will be bolded and all caps like this: BUTTERFLIES.
All you have to do is visit all the author’s sites in this order, write down the special keywords to discover the short story, then enter the giveaway with the completed short story HERE (link will be posted soon).
There will be one main giveaway for the main prize, but most of the participating authors will also have smaller giveaways for free books, amazon credit and author swag, so make sure you read their post carefully to see what else they’re offering while you’re on their site for the keyword.

This is really happening…
After a year of work, this epic, enormous story is almost done. I hope you’ll like it – there are slow parts and fast parts. A lot of things happen. I like the ending but when I told my family a year ago they thought it was ridiculous… I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback!
The full book will be out next week (January 26th) but I’ve uploaded 8 new chapters – about 1/3 of Part Two – so you can start reading early.
UPDATE: this offer has ended, the full book is now available HERE on Amazon.
I always offers free books to my fans, so make sure you sign up on my email list so you don’t miss out.

Good luck with those!
I’m hoping to have ARC copies of Shearwater out this month, and the updated Scarlet Thread as well – in the meantime, make sure you download the free anthology, That Moment When.
I have a story in there, Taste, that I plan to develop into a full series but I’d love your feedback on the first part. This is the cover…
Most of my YA dark fantasy books are based on mythology or legends so I was excited to get a spot in the boxset anthology of full-length PNR and UF books coming out in January 2017 called Dark Legends.
I’ve been working on Shearwater (and I’m only 5 chapters from the end) but am switching gears so I can finish Scarlet Thread and include it in this anthology. My book will be 2.99 but start with some free and 99cent promotions (sign up to my list to make sure you get a free copy). If you like Scarlet Thread and are willing to support me by buying the full book, it should be out in December. OR you can get it along with 19 other books for 99cents by buying the Dark Legends boxset. That’s a much better deal, but you’ll have to wait a little longer (mid January) to start reading it.
Here’s the sales copy:

Scarlet Thread Update
Scarlet Thread is by far my most popular book, with almost 50,000 downloads – the second half of book one is roughly sketched out but since I need to finish it quickly this month I’m also calling for plot recommendations. If you’ve read part one and would like to suggest a plot twist, character development or something you’d like to see happen, please comment on this Facebook post!
